According to LRS 14:225A(3) – if a person vandalizes, or otherwise damages, a school or educational facility, they could be imprisoned for up to six (6) months and/or pay up to a $500 fine when the damage is less than $500 dollars. The punishment becomes more severe as the damage increases.

According to LRS 14: 93.1 – it’s illegal for a person to intentionally smell or inhale the fumes of model glue or toxic vapors to get high, commonly referred to as “huffing”.
According to the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, “huffing” is becoming increasingly popular among children and especially among 12 to 14 year olds. Huffing can kill the very first time children experiment with it (DrGreene.com). A person arrested for this could get up to a $100 fine and/or 90 days in jail.
According to LRS 14:102.5 – A person that causes any dog to fight with another dog, or cause any dogs to injure each other for amusement or gain, or is just a knowing spectator, can be charged and face a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $25,000 and/or jail time not less than one year nor more than ten years. According to LRS 14:67.10 – A person who takes anything of value for sale by a merchant with the intention of permanently depriving the merchant can be charged with a felony or a misdemeanor depending on the value of the collective items taken. After two convictions, regardless of the value of the items taken it is a felony crime.
